Lost Key Golf club

Testimonials

Your facility rates at the top of the list."I recently had the privilege of playing Lost Key a couple of times while on vacation in Gulf Shores and felt the need to inform you of my experience.  I've had the opportunity to play many tournament courses around the country and your facility rates at the top of the list!  I truly enjoyed the challenge your course provided as well as being rewarded for hitting quality shots.

As good as the layout was, the best part of your establishment is the people.  Many courses boast about how they view customer service and what the customer experience will be like, but your staff truly believes in it.  From the clubhouse staff, to the starter and the grounds crew, you could tell everyone enjoyed being there and wanted to make sure my wife and I had a great time.  I'll be back this fall for a week, and I can guarantee you that Lost Key is the only course I'll be playing!  Out of our 5-day trip to the Gulf, the trip to Lost Key was by far the highlight.

"I would like to tell you what a "Great" staff you have at Lost Key and how much we enjoyed our day at your golf course. I would like to personally have you walk over to Sandy in the pro shop, Frank who our was the starter for the day, Tammy who was our waitress and Lisa the beverage cart girl, shake their hand and tell them all they were fantastic. I apologize for not catching the names of the guys loading and unloading the golf but they were also great. We can all say that out of our 5 day trip to Gulf shores, the trip to your facility was by far the highlight.

The course was in fantastic shape also. Tell Frank I did leave him a few balls out on the course.  Thank you to all. We will definitely return to you course the next time we come down from Minnesota."

"For my mother's 90th birthday, we had her birthday breakfast on July 30th at the golf clubhouse at Lost Key.  It was a wonderful party. I want to personally express my appreciation for the outstanding job that Melissa Mackey and John McKernan did for our event.

"As the owner of Pointe South Real Estate and Perdido Key Resort Rentals, I would like to commend your staff at Lost Key Clubhouse for the exceptional service, hospitality and quality.

Our Christmas party was held at Lost Key on December 21 and the event was just exceptional! Your entire staff is to be commended for their presentation, courtesy, and warm hospitality.

The Chef and his staff did an outstanding job with the food as everyone raved about the food and they are still talking about it today. The steamship was a masterpiece, cooked to perfection and the quality was impeccable.

Thank You for providing a beautiful environment along with the right people doing ti the right way!Melissa Mackey is such a joy to work with as she guided us through the menu selection and layout of the evening's entertainment. She is highly organized and communicated promptly and effectively. She is a rare commodity in our "island environment" where good talented employees are hard to find.

The entire wait staff was so pleasant and very accommodating. They are to be commended on their professionalism and job-well-done!

John McKernan was so friendly and helpful to all our guests.

As a business owner, I know the importance of quality employees and retaining talented people who care. We can't wait to have out next event at Lost Key and I am sure that the 100+ people that attended the party feel the same way. They all marveled at the presentation and quality of the food and were in awe that this quality finally exists in Perdido Key at Lost Key!

Thank you again, WCI and the Lost Key Clubhouse staff, for providing a beautiful environment along with the right people doing it the right way!

Merry Christmas to you all!

Lose yourself in the 'Florabbean' at Lost Key restaurant
Taris Savell, News Journal correspondent

Have you ever felt as if you just want to get away for a couple of hours without having to go too far?
If that happens to you, the answer is the Lost Key Golf Club restaurant, just over the Theo Baars Bridge on the way to Perdido Key.

Immediately upon entering, the restaurant feels like a world apart from the hot, hectic pace outside. The decor is quietly refreshing, with a low-key "Florabbean" theme.

Lost Key is a WCI Communities project.
While the restaurant is open to the public, it was built to offer a private club feeling, with special touches such as fresh flowers on each table.

Peggy Briese, celebrating her birthday at lunch with two friends, said, "The ambiance is so beautiful, it's as if you've just 'done lunch' the real way."

Her friend Emma Fell, 62, loved the fried grouper sandwich on a toasted Kaiser roll ($9).
"It's large, and I'm taking half of it home," she said.
The menu is uncomplicated and unusually tasty.
The executive sous chef, Thien Chu, 32, is proud of each personally-supervised choice.
"Everything is done fresh. We even only toss the salad after it's ordered," he said.
According to general manager, Steven Price, the 150-seat restaurant opened in March, and people have been coming from Pensacola, Orange Beach, Ala., and Perdido to try it out.

One of the most popular menu items is the Ahi Tuna Florida Wrap ($10). It is seared in spicy chili oil and dressed with shredded carrots, bell pepper strips and Romaine lettuce and drizzled with an Asian dressing. The wrap is served in a chipotle flour tortilla.

Cookie Kichler was enthusiastic about her bowl of tomato rice soup ($5), which she described as having, "a rich and thick flavor. I can almost see it stewing in the pot. And it's piping hot, too."

My choice was the special of the day, a Chicken Philly sandwich ($8) full of the many ingredients that make them so likeable.

All sandwiches come with a choice of crunchy fries, a good pasta salad or fresh fruit.
The restaurant offers many salads, but among the most popular is the Maui Wowi tuna salad ($10), described by Chu as "a summertime salad, Hawaiian style."

There are three appetizers to choose from, including the Island Crab Dip ($10), which combines crab meat, cream cheese, spices and grilled gold pineapple.

"The acid can break down the cheese but because we grill the pineapple, that doesn't happen," explained Chu.
There are no desserts yet, but cookies that come with every meal.
The patio and the dining room are available for private parties and catered events. Lost Key also has a full bar.
