Membership Information and F.A.Q.'s

This web page was designed as a quick reference guide to the privileges and terms of membership in Lost Key Golf Club.  These questions and answers are based on the most frequent inquiries concerning membership.  For complete details, please refer to the Rules and Regulations and Membership Application available from the membership director.

Q: WHAT IS LOST KEY GOLF CLUB?

A: Lost Key Golf Club is being developed within the Lost Key resort community in Perdido Key, Florida (the "Community").  The Club will offer golf, golf practice and social facilities. 

Q: WHO IS DEVELOPING THE CLUB?

A: The Club Facilities are being developed by WCI Communities, Inc., one of Florida's premier development companies.  WCI Communities and its affiliated entities are the developers of numerous amenity-rich, lifestyle communities throughout Florida.

Q: WHAT FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE CLUB?

A: The Club Facilities will include the following:

  • 18-hole Arnold Palmer-designed golf course.
  • A clubhouse containing dining areas, locker rooms, golf shop, bag storage and administrative offices.
  • Related supporting golf practice and maintenance facilities.

The golf course, golf practice facilities and clubhouse are open and available for member use.    

Q: WHAT TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP ARE AVAILABLE?

A: The Club is currently offering Resident Annual Memberships and Non-Resident Annual Memberships. Members may elect Family Privileges or Individual Privileges.

Q: WHAT ARE THE PRIVILEGES OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP?

A: Members are entitled to use the 18-hole golf course, golf practice facilities and clubhouse at Lost Key Golf Club.  Members will not be required to pay a greens fee, but will be required to pay a cart fee.  Members will have year-round access to the golf driving range and will not be required to pay for range balls.

Q: WHAT FAMILY PRIVILEGES ARE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS?

A: Upon payment of the annual fee for Family Privileges, the member, the member's spouse and  their unmarried children under the age of 18, who are living at home or attending school on a full-time basis, may use the Club Facilities on the same basis as a member.    

Q: WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP?

A: Memberships will be offered to both purchasers and owners of homes or homesites in the Community and others.  Resident Annual Memberships are only available to purchasers and owners of homes in the Community.  The Club shall not discriminate in any manner against any member, family member or guest of a member, or prospective member on account of race, sex, religion, color, national origin, handicap, status as a veteran, creed, ancestry or other bias prohibited by law.

Q: HOW DO I APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP?

A: Applicants must complete a Membership Application and return the completed Membership Application to the Club together with the required annual fee.  The Club reserves the right to review and approve Membership Applications.

Q: WHAT DOES A MEMBERSHIP COST?

A: The annual fee is established by the Club from time to time.  For the current annual fee and charges for each category of membership, please contact the Membership Office.

Q: CAN THE LESSEE OF MY HOME USE MY MEMBERSHIP IN THE CLUB?

A: Upon application, payment of the required administrative fee and approval by the Club, the lessee of a Resident Annual Member's home in the Community who has a lease term of a minimum of one week may use the lessor's membership privileges as the beneficial user of the membership.  A lessee who is designated as the beneficial user of the member's membership will be entitled to use the Club Facilities on the same basis as the lessor member.  If the lessor member has Individual Privileges, then only one person shall be entitled to membership privileges as a lessee.  If the lessor member has Family Privileges, then the lessee and the lessee's spouse and unmarried children under the age of 18, who live at home or attend school on a full-time basis, are eligible for membership privileges.

Q: WILL PERSONS OTHER THAN MEMBERS BE PERMITTED TO USE THE CLUB?

A: The Club Facilities will be available to daily fee golfers and may be used for non-member tournament and events.
